I source pounamu through a variety of means, always ensuring that it is obtained respectfully and responsibility. My process include carefully searching the beaches of the West Coast, sourcing pounamu through trusted online channels, and working closely with local iwi to obtain pounamu in accordance with cultural traditions and sustainability principles.

Do you have to bless your taonga?

Blessing a taonga is not mandatory, but is a respected and valued practice within Māori culture, particularly when given as a gift. Your taonga will come with a karakia, a traditional prayer, and you may choose to have it blessed if you wish.
